CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS
Art Experiences, Dramatics, and Music are a very exciting part of your child's daily experience at Park Shore. Through various art media your child will be encouraged to express his/her own artistic creativity. Creativity, imagination, and self confidence are reinforced when your child play acts in his/her classroom, music room, outdoor stage, or puppet theater. These experiences are an integral part of play, which is an ongoing process throughout the school year. Our new Pre-School Performing Arts Program is designed to develop your child's imagination and creativity. Creative drama builds self confidence, self esteem, and vocabulary in a fun and safe environment. Led by Broadway actress Jamie Chandler-Torns, our Performing Arts Director, our new Performing Arts Program will enable your child to build skills while giving them the confidence to attempt new ventures in other environments.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Park Shore's newly enhanced Physical Fitness Program is second to none. Healthy bodies are as important as healthy minds. A child's physical development through sports, movement, aerobics, and exercise helps to enhance his/her total growth. Physical development, camaraderie, fun and learning are the core of our Physical Education Program at Park Shore.

COMPUTERS
Our children are growing up in a world dominated by computers. We feel it is very important for our students to learn computer skills at an early age. Our computer program is designed to introduce your child to the fundamentals of how to use a computer and learn from the programs he/she uses.
We have a separate computer room designed with multiple stations for your child to work independently, as well as with a partner. Your child will learn the different parts of the computer and how to use the mouse and keyboard. Our computer programs are used to teach the basics of the computer, as well as lessons in math, language arts, drawing, and reading skills. Supervised instruction provides one-on-one guidance for use of age-appropriate programs and educational internet experiences. Our goal is for our students to develop a strong foundation of computer skills that will benefit their future in computer education.

At Park Shore, learning does not exclusively happen in a traditional classroom setting. One of the many unique aspects of Park Shore is our expansive and impressive outdoor facilities. Our beautiful 15 acre campus allows our students to have access to all that nature has to offer and is a unique feature of Park Shore that sets us apart from other pre-schools in the area. We encourage our students to develop a sense of adventure and love of exploration and discovery as they walk down our beautiful nature trails and utilize our outdoor learning facilities.

LIBRARY & RESOURCE ROOM
Headed by our on-staff Reading Consultant, our Library and Resource Room offers your child the opportunity for hands-on experiences with a variety of exciting programs. Your child is able to share and play cooperatively with others, follow directions, improve his/her coordination skills, and understand cause and effect through various activities. Many wonderful stories are read while young imaginations travel to different places. The world of books and learning what they have to offer is explored when your child enters our Library and Resource Room.
Our abundant collection of books, materials, puppets, games, and activities are carefully selected in order to stimulate each child's pre-reading skills and awareness. It is a room filled with excitement and adventure for every child.
