Park Shore's Kindergarten has a Well Designed Teaching Philosophy

Park Shore has a unique philosophy and teaching strategy that helps our students achieve academic and developmental success. We allow our students to discover, explore, experiment and create in an environment that embraces these concepts. The Park Shore Kindergarten Program will provide opportunities in which our students can grow socially, develop critical thinking skills, and instill problem solving concepts.

The Park Shore Kindergarten Program will provide an atmosphere which will benefit various learning styles.

Students will learn through play, verbal teaching, music, audio skills, art and technology. Through differentiated instruction,  students of different abilities, interests and learning styles will experience equally appropriate ways to absorb, use, develop and present concepts as a part of the daily learning process. This allows students to take greater responsibility and ownership for their own learning and provides opportunities for cooperative learning. Our program will unlock their individual needs and support their natural learning process.

Our program will instill the basic four elements of learning based on student readiness, interest, or learning profile:

• Content - giving the student access to the information on the instructional lesson
• Process - activities in which the student engages in order to make sense or master the content
• Products - culminating projects that ask the student to rehearse, apply and extend what they have learned in a unit or lesson
• Learning Environment - the way our classroom will work and how we will grow into strong competent and confident learners
