In keeping with our goal to be the Premier Pre-school and leader in early childhood education, we are proud to announce the addition of our new science program.

This new learning experience will take place in Park Shore's new science lab that will be filled with science equipment necessary to stimulate and educate all of our young scientists. Our children will now add another special to our already progressive academic curriculum. Our science program will help our children develop how science skills, such as: observation, classification, and communication can produce an outcome or a conclusion. Our science lab will be equipped with microscopes, magnets, test tubes and more. It will also be home to a variety of animals and reptiles. Our children will all be responsible for the health and care of our new additions. Plants and other experiments will be incorporated into our program. Imagine a child looking through a microscope and entering into another world that can be seen through a lens or seeing a chick hatch after waiting for several weeks anticipating this amazing event!

Young children, because of their innate curiosity, eagerly embrace all types of science activities. The easiest way to incorporate science into the early childhood classroom is to find interactive, hands- on, and visual activities that are interesting and exciting. The goal of our science program is to provide a stimulating environment for guiding children in the development of science, math, and literacy skills by providing age appropriate science experiments. It is our belief that children begin to understand fundamental science concepts and are, therefore, able to develop their natural curiosity for exploration and their surroundings. Our objective is to have children achieve an educational foundation for predicting, calculating and problem solving. Some topics we will cover will be the 5 senses, birds, astronomy, land formations, life cycles and of course many hands- on experiments that will excite and thrill the child in all of us.

I am very excited about this new program. The lessons are endless and I am thrilled to create a new science curriculum. I am confident that the children will embrace and enjoy our new educational experience that our science lab will offer.

Sincerely,
